This page is about your product. Make it yours.
Sysadmins come to patchletter to find out when your product ships an update — and they read that page whether you are on it or not. As the verified vendor you can claim it: your logo, an “Officially verified” badge, the official links, and your own announcements. Clearly labeled, below the editorial content, with no tracking.

What you control
Everything below is live in the product today — nothing on this page is a roadmap item.
The verified badge
An “Officially verified” badge next to your name. It tells an admin that the vendor stands behind what is on this page — the single strongest signal on the whole page.
Your logo and accent colour
Your logo at the top of the block and a discreet accent colour on its frame. Enough to be recognisable, not enough to turn the page into a billboard.
The official links
Five kinds of links, structured, right where admins look for them: download, release notes, docs, security advisory, support. No more hunting through your website for the changelog.
Your announcements
Up to three at a time, either on one product page or across all of your products. Plain text, a headline and a link — see below for what these are actually good for.
Corrections with priority
Wrong description, outdated official URL, release notes pointing at the wrong template? You report it, we fix it — ahead of the queue. You do not get write access to the editorial data, and that is the point.
Your real product page
Not a banner slot next to the content. The page admins already bookmarked, already subscribed to, already get emails from.
What announcements are for
This is the part most vendors underuse. Your announcement sits on the page the moment an admin comes looking for your version number — which is exactly the moment they are willing to read one paragraph from you.
- A major version jump“9.0 is out — here is what breaks and what you have to do first.” The one message that reaches people before they upgrade blind.
- A migration deadline“Anything still on 6.x has to move before 30 September.” Reaches the admin who never reads your newsletter.
- An end-of-life dateAnnounce it yourself, in your words, next to our EOL data — instead of letting people find out from a table.
- An out-of-band hotfixA critical fix outside the usual cycle, on the page people check when they hear something is wrong.
What you don’t control — and why that is worth paying for
A page an admin trusts is worth more to you than a page you fully control. So the boundaries are fixed, and they are the same for everyone:
- Ranking and ordering in the catalog never change. Not by a little, not for a while, not for a launch.
- The editorial data stays ours: detected version, release history, CVE and KEV entries, EOL dates. You can correct a factual error — you cannot remove an inconvenient one.
- The security section is never displaced. Your block sits below the editorial content, never above or inside it.
- Your presence is labeled as paid. That line is not negotiable, and it is what makes the badge above it mean something.
- No tracking, no scripts, no ad inventory between listings. patchletter stays ad-free.
How it works
You get in touch
One mail with the product and your company. If you came here from a product page, it is already filled in.
We verify you
We confirm you really are the vendor — via an address on the product’s domain or a pointer from your own site. That check is what the badge is worth.
You send the assets
Logo, links, first announcement. We set it up in our admin — there is no vendor login to maintain and no integration to build.
You change it any time
New announcement, new link, new version note: one mail. Runs monthly, cancel any time, and we can switch the presence off at any point.
Questions
- Is this advertising?
- No — it is a clearly labeled official vendor presence on your own product page. There is no ad inventory between listings, no tracking and no third-party scripts anywhere on patchletter. That is why the presence is marked as paid: the label is what keeps the rest of the page credible.
- Does it improve our ranking or visibility in the catalog?
- No, and it never will. Sponsoring has no influence on ordering, search results, category listings or which products we cover. If it did, every other product page would be worth less — including the one you would be paying for.
- Is it €99 per product or per company?
- Per product page. A vendor with three products claiming all three pays three times €99 net per month. The price is per page because the presence, the announcements and the off-switch all work per product.
- Can we edit the version data or remove a CVE?
- No. Detected versions, release history, CVE/KEV entries and EOL dates stay editorial and are not writable by you. What you can do is report an actual error — a wrong match, an outdated source — and we fix it with priority. Every vendor gets that; paying moves it up the queue, it does not change the answer.
- What if our product isn’t listed yet?
- Then suggest it first — that is free and has nothing to do with this offer. Once the page exists and is being tracked, you can claim it.
- How do we pay?
- By invoice, monthly, €99 net per product page plus VAT at the statutory rate. No setup fee, no minimum term, cancel monthly. We need a billing address and a VAT ID.
- Can you take it down again?
- Yes, either side, at any time. There is a hard off-switch on our end, and we will use it if a presence turns into something the label no longer covers.
