CrowdSec im Überblick
CrowdSec ist eine quelloffene, kollaborative Intrusion-Prevention-Lösung — sie erkennt Angriffe anhand von Logs und teilt Bedrohungsdaten über eine Community. Das Projekt entwickelt aktiv mit häufigen Releases für die Engine und die „Bouncer" (Durchsetzungskomponenten).
Für Admins besteht das Update aus zwei Teilen: der CrowdSec-Engine und den Bouncern (z. B. für Firewall oder Webserver), die kompatibel sein sollten. Updates kommen über die Paket-Repos; die Erkennungs-Szenarien und Parser (aus dem Hub) werden separat aktualisiert. Als Sicherheitswerkzeug mit Log-Zugriff gehört CrowdSec sinnvoll konfiguriert und die lokale API abgesichert. Der Vorteil des Community-Ansatzes ist geteilte Bedrohungsintelligenz — die Datenschutz-Aspekte des Teilens sollten bewusst konfiguriert werden.
