Keycloak im Überblick
Keycloak ist eine quelloffene Identity- und Access-Management-Lösung (SSO, OIDC, SAML) — im Red-Hat-Umfeld weit verbreitet und zentral für die Authentifizierung ganzer Anwendungslandschaften. Das Projekt veröffentlicht häufige Releases; als IAM-Kern mit weitreichender Bedeutung sind Sicherheitsupdates besonders wichtig.
Für Admins ist Keycloak update-technisch anspruchsvoll: Die Umstellung von der alten WildFly-Distribution auf die Quarkus-basierte hat Konfiguration und Betrieb verändert. Beim Update die Datenbank-Migration einplanen (läuft beim Start), vorher sichern, und die Kompatibilität der angebundenen Clients/Realms prüfen. Keycloak gehört hinter Reverse-Proxy mit TLS und ins abgesicherte Netz — wer das IAM kompromittiert, kompromittiert alle daran hängenden Anwendungen.
