phpMyAdmin im Überblick

phpMyAdmin ist die verbreitetste Web-Oberfläche zur Verwaltung von MySQL-/MariaDB-Datenbanken — bequem, aber wegen der PHP-basierten Web-Exposition ein historisch beliebtes Angriffsziel. Das Projekt veröffentlicht regelmäßige Releases mit koordinierten Sicherheitsfixes.

Für Admins ist die wichtigste Regel: phpMyAdmin NIE ungeschützt ins Internet stellen — es gehört hinter Authentifizierung, IP-Beschränkung oder VPN, idealerweise gar nicht öffentlich erreichbar. Updates zeitnah einspielen, da es ein bekanntes Ziel automatisierter Scans ist. Der Betrieb sollte auf die tatsächlich benötigten Funktionen beschränkt und die PHP-Version aktuell sein. Für viele Anwendungsfälle ist ein SSH-Tunnel zur lokalen phpMyAdmin-Instanz sicherer als eine dauerhaft erreichbare Weboberfläche.
