Pi-hole im Überblick

Pi-hole ist ein DNS-basierter Werbe- und Tracker-Blocker fürs ganze Netzwerk — beliebt in Homelabs und kleinen Büros, oft auf einem Raspberry Pi. Das Projekt veröffentlicht Updates für Core, Web-Interface und den DNS-Dienst; die Aktualisierung läuft komfortabel über den eingebauten Update-Befehl.

Für Admins ist Pi-hole meist wartungsarm, verdient aber Aufmerksamkeit bei zwei Punkten: Das Admin-Interface gehört nur ins interne Netz (es steuert die DNS-Auflösung), und da Pi-hole als DNS-Server zentral ist, sollte ein Ausfall abgefangen werden (zweiter DNS oder Fallback).
