BookStack im Überblick
BookStack ist ein quelloffenes, einfach gehaltenes Wiki — es organisiert Wissen in Büchern, Kapiteln und Seiten, beliebt für interne Dokumentation in KMU. Das Projekt veröffentlicht regelmäßige Releases; als oft erreichbares Web-System mit Dokumentationsdaten verdient es zeitnahe Updates.
Für Admins läuft das Update über den mitgelieferten Prozess (Composer, Datenbank-Migration) oder per Docker; vorher ein Backup von Datenbank und Datei-Uploads. BookStack gehört hinter TLS und, wo nicht öffentlich nötig, mit Zugriffsbeschränkung. Die PHP-Version muss zur Zielversion passen. BookStack ist bewusst schlank gehalten und dadurch wartungsarm; die Anbindung an externe Authentifizierung (LDAP, SAML, OIDC) sollte bei Updates kurz geprüft werden. Größere Versionssprünge nicht überspringen und die Release-Hinweise beachten. Die eingesetzte Version verfolgen.
