OpenProject im Überblick
OpenProject ist eine quelloffene Projektmanagement-Software aus Berlin — Aufgaben, Roadmaps, Zeiterfassung und mehr, oft selbst gehostet. Das Unternehmen veröffentlicht regelmäßige Releases; als aus dem Netz erreichbares System mit Projekt- und teils Kundendaten verdient es zeitnahe Sicherheitsupdates.
Für Admins läuft der Betrieb über Pakete oder Docker; Updates spielen die mitgelieferten Prozesse ein, inklusive Datenbank-Migration — vorher ein Backup. Größere Versionssprünge nicht überspringen und die Upgrade-Hinweise beachten. OpenProject gehört hinter Reverse-Proxy mit TLS; die eingesetzte PostgreSQL-Version und die Ruby-Laufzeit sollten den Anforderungen entsprechen. Die Enterprise-Zusatzfunktionen ändern nichts an den grundlegenden Update-Regeln. Die eingesetzte Version und ihren Supportzeitraum im Blick behalten.
