Zeek im Überblick
Zeek (früher Bro) ist ein leistungsfähiges Netzwerk-Analyse-Framework — es beobachtet den Verkehr und erzeugt detaillierte, protokollbezogene Logs für Security-Analysen, weniger ein simples IDS als eine Analyse-Plattform. Das Projekt veröffentlicht Releases in mehreren Linien (inkl. LTS).

Zeek sitzt am Spiegelport/TAP und sieht viel Verkehr — die erzeugten Logs sind sensibel und gehören geschützt. Vor Updates die eigenen Skripte und die Konfiguration sichern.
