Armoury Crate is the ASUS system utility that pulls the configuration of ASUS and ROG devices into a single interface. It covers synchronised lighting through Aura Sync, fan and performance profiles, hardware monitoring, scenario-based switching and an update centre for drivers, firmware and companion applications. In business environments it shows up mainly on ASUS laptops and workstations, where administrators either need it for fan and power control or want it removed for security and standardisation reasons.

There is no single version line. The product consists of several parts: a small framework package, the background service, the main application and device-dependent modules. Delivery is model-specific through each device's driver page and through the built-in update centre, so version levels drift apart between product lines.

When updating, it matters that Armoury Crate installs system services and kernel drivers; past fixes have targeted exactly those components. Downloads should come only from the official ASUS support pages for the specific model, never from third-party portals. After an update, check autostart entries, running services and driver levels; ASUS provides a dedicated uninstall tool for removals.
