The DefenderHardeningSuite is a free Windows tool that brings Microsoft Defender hardening options together in a single interface. Administrators can use it to surface and selectively enable features such as attack surface reduction, controlled folder access, network protection and the cloud protection level, without setting each policy individually through PowerShell or group policy. The tool relies on documented Defender cmdlets, and changes it makes can be rolled back.

The vendor distributes the software as a signed installer with a German and an English interface through its own website and documents changes in a changelog. New builds appear without a fixed schedule and add further rules, adjusted defaults and fixes. No public package source or machine-readable feed is provided.

Because the tool activates security-relevant protection features, changes should be tested on a pilot group before a broad rollout to avoid false positives or blocked applications. It is advisable to back up the initial state and, after an update, to verify that the configured rules still take effect as expected.
