docuFORM Mercury Suite combines output management, document management and managed print services in a modular platform for Windows environments. Administrators use it to control print output from many sources up to SAP, convert manufacturer-specific data formats into standard formats such as PCL, PostScript or PDF, and connect devices through freely combinable filters and emulations. A fleet management component monitors manufacturer-independent device networks and organises the automated supply of consumables.

The vendor maintains a public release history for the managed print services component, where new versions are documented continuously with bug fixes and functional changes. The suite is distributed through shared major versions that span server, client and WebClient parts.

When updating, the server and client components as well as the WebClient should be brought to matching levels. Changes to authentication, LDAP integration and CSRF handling appear regularly in the history and can affect login and reporting; after an update it is advisable to verify login, counter transmission and mail notifications.
