EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard at a glance
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard restores deleted or lost files. It scans hard disks, SSDs, USB sticks and memory cards, finds files even after formatting or with a damaged file system and shows them in a preview before recovery. Administrators turn to it when users have deleted data by mistake and no backup is available.
The software is available for Windows and macOS, in a free version with a limited recovery volume and in paid editions. The vendor's page gives no version number, and new releases appear irregularly.
When using it, it is important never to write the recovered files to the drive being rescued, because that overwrites the data. The program and the target folder belong on a different medium. If a hardware fault is suspected, an image of the disk should be made first. Updates of the software itself are uncritical but should not be installed during a running scan.
