Enpass at a glance

Enpass is a password manager that keeps credentials, TOTP codes and passkeys in a vault encrypted on the device. Instead of syncing through the vendor's servers, it replicates the vault through storage the customer chooses — WebDAV, a NAS or a corporate cloud drive — which is why it appears in environments where vault data must stay inside the organisation. Desktop and mobile apps, browser extensions and a business edition with central administration make up the product family.

Releases ship per platform: Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android and the browser extensions carry separate version numbers and separate release notes, and store builds differ from the ones downloaded from the website. Changes therefore rarely reach all clients at once.

When updating, check that the desktop app and the browser extension still match, since the link between them can otherwise break. Take a vault backup before rolling out a new major version, because format changes touch the vault file. In managed fleets keep store and package delivery paths separate so devices do not drift apart.
