Logi Options+ is Logitech's current configuration software for mice, keyboards, webcams, presenters and other peripherals on Windows and macOS, superseding the older Logitech Options. In managed environments it is used to define key mappings and application-specific profiles, set webcam options and apply firmware to connected devices.
Logitech ships updates at short intervals, sometimes as interim hotfix builds. The application carries its own updater that pulls new builds by itself, while the vendor also provides an offline installer intended for software deployment. Change notes are published as a web page only; Logitech does not offer a machine-readable feed for them. Device firmware is rolled out separately from the application itself.
When updating, it pays to control the built-in updater deliberately and package the offline installer instead, so workstations stay on a tested build. After an update, check that profiles, Smart Actions and the detection of Bluetooth and Unifying receivers survived. The background service and autostart entry run in the user context, which deserves separate testing on multi-user and kiosk machines; never interrupt a firmware operation.
