Logitech Options is a companion application for compatible Logitech mice and keyboards on Windows and macOS. System administrators use it to centrally configure button assignments, scroll-wheel behavior, gestures, and F-key functions, particularly on workstations with multiple connected Logitech peripherals. The app typically runs as a background service with a tray icon and is often deployed via software distribution tools such as winget.

The vendor is increasingly moving functionality from the classic Options product toward its successor, Logi Options+; many devices and features migrate there, while the original package receives only limited ongoing maintenance. Administrators should check during inventory whether an endpoint should already be migrated to the successor, since support and updates for Options may be phased out over time.

When updating, expect irregular release cycles, as new versions are usually tied to new hardware launches rather than a fixed schedule. Updates are delivered via the built-in updater, the Logitech download page, or package-manager feeds. Past advisories have covered security weaknesses, so timely patching is advisable.
