posterXXL Fotobuch-Software at a glance
The posterXXL photo book software is a free desktop program for Windows and macOS for designing photo books, calendars and other photo products and ordering them from the provider. Compared with the browser-based online editor, it offers additional layouts, backgrounds and design elements and works with locally stored images.
posterXXL distributes the software through its website; there is no machine-readable update feed. The application points out new versions at start-up.
Save open projects before updating, since new versions may convert project files to a newer format. On workstations without administrator rights the built-in updater can fail; reinstalling with the current installer from the provider's website helps in that case.
