Securepoint UTM at a glance
Securepoint UTM is a German unified-threat-management firewall appliance and software, widely used by SMBs and managed-service providers in the DACH region. Securepoint ships regular firmware/software updates plus security fixes; as a perimeter security device, prompt, careful patching is essential.
For admins updates run through the appliance management — back up the configuration first, and in HA setups mind the order so connectivity isn't dropped. Never expose management or the VPN portal to the WAN unprotected, and keep remote-access services patched, since firewalls are targeted. After updating, verify VPN tunnels, firewall rules and connectivity. Being a DACH product, documentation and support are German-first, and it's often operated by MSPs across many client sites — a version to track centrally.
