ShareX is a popular open-source screen-capture, screen-recording and file-sharing tool for Windows, widely used for screenshots and quick uploads. ShareX ships frequent releases; the built-in updater and winget keep it current.

For admins ShareX is a user-space tool, modest in security terms, but two things deserve attention: it can auto-upload captures to configured destinations, so make sure users understand where screenshots go (avoid accidental public uploads of sensitive content), and its many integrations use credentials/tokens that should be protected. Keep it current for fixes and features, and source it officially. In managed environments, decide deliberately whether to allow it and configure the upload destinations to sanctioned targets.
