ShareX at a glance
ShareX is a popular open-source screen-capture, screen-recording and file-sharing tool for Windows, widely used for screenshots and quick uploads. ShareX ships frequent releases; the built-in updater and winget keep it current.
For admins ShareX is a user-space tool, modest in security terms, but two things deserve attention: it can auto-upload captures to configured destinations, so make sure users understand where screenshots go (avoid accidental public uploads of sensitive content), and its many integrations use credentials/tokens that should be protected.
