XplicitTrust Network Access at a glance

XplicitTrust Network Access is a Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution from the German vendor XplicitTrust. Instead of a classic VPN tunnel it sets up an encrypted mesh based on WireGuard and ties access to identity, sign-in via SSO/MFA and device posture. IT and security teams use it to give staff and sites targeted access to individual applications without opening the whole network.

The service consists of a managed control plane and a client agent that runs on the endpoints. Agent updates bring new features and security fixes; the control plane is operated centrally by the vendor.

Administrators should keep an eye on new agent versions and roll them out in their environment, since the client mediates access to sensitive applications. The vendor's notes state which platforms are affected and whether policies need adjusting after an update.
