Alertmanager im Überblick
Alertmanager ist die Alarm-Routing-Komponente des Prometheus-Ökosystems — er nimmt Alerts entgegen, gruppiert, entstummt und leitet sie an Kanäle wie E-Mail, Slack oder PagerDuty weiter. Das Prometheus-Projekt veröffentlicht regelmäßige Releases.
Für Admins ist Alertmanager meist Teil des Monitoring-Stacks; Updates sind unkritisch (Binary/Container tauschen), sollten aber zur Prometheus-Version passen. Die Konfiguration (Routing, Empfänger) enthält teils Zugangsdaten zu Benachrichtigungskanälen — sie gehört geschützt. In Hochverfügbarkeits-Setups laufen mehrere Alertmanager im Verbund; die Kompatibilität der Instanzen beachten. Nach Updates die Alarm-Zustellung testen, damit keine kritischen Benachrichtigungen still ausfallen — ein defektes Alerting ist gefährlicher als ein sichtbarer Ausfall.
