Nomad im Überblick
HashiCorp Nomad ist ein schlanker Orchestrator für Container und andere Workloads — eine einfachere Alternative zu Kubernetes für viele Szenarien. HashiCorp veröffentlicht regelmäßige Releases; als Scheduler mit Zugriff auf die Ausführungsumgebung verdienen Sicherheitsupdates zügige Umsetzung.
Für Admins zählt die Cluster-Reihenfolge beim Update (Server-Knoten unter Wahrung des Raft-Quorums, dann Clients) und die Kompatibilität zwischen den Versionen. Vor Upgrades ein Snapshot des Server-Zustands. Nomad gehört abgesichert: ACLs aktiviert, TLS für die Kommunikation, das UI/API nicht offen im Netz. Bei Integration mit Consul und Vault die Versionskompatibilität dieser Komponenten beachten. Die eingesetzte Nomad-Version und ihren Supportzeitraum verfolgen, um rechtzeitig zu planen.
