Adobe Acrobat 2024 (Classic Track) at a glance
Adobe Acrobat 2024 is the current LTS-style release of the Acrobat "Classic Track", aimed at organizations that need a fixed, functionally stable PDF suite over several years instead of the continuously updated Continuous Track. Unlike the Continuous Track, Classic Track installations do not receive new features during their lifetime, only security and bug-fix patches applied to the original base version.
For sysadmins, Classic Track updates are published in a separate branch of Adobe's release notes, distinct from the more frequent Continuous updates. Patches appear irregularly, usually as optional or planned security updates, and should be monitored via the central release notes pages or Adobe's admin/ETK tooling, since there is no established package-manager or API feed for this product.
When patching, keep in mind that Classic and Continuous tracks exist in parallel and use different version numbering schemes; switching between tracks requires a full reinstall. Support and security updates for each Classic generation also end after a fixed period, so lifecycle end dates should be tracked separately.
