D-Link DAP-X3060 at a glance
The DAP-X3060 is a Wi-Fi 6 access point for offices, schools and practices. It is powered over PoE, mounted on a ceiling or wall and managed either on its own through its web interface or centrally through the Nuclias Connect controller. Typical settings are several SSIDs with VLAN assignment, WPA3, guest access and radio planning through channel and power settings.
D-Link publishes the firmware as a single file with release notes. The regional download pages show different releases: besides regular versions there are early and interim builds with deviating labels, and the European page does not always show the same release as other regions.
When running with Nuclias Connect, the controller version should match the access point release. Export the configuration before updating and, when in doubt, prefer a release that has release notes. The access point restarts and clients briefly lose their connection; with many devices, update in groups.
