Kentix SiteManager at a glance
The Kentix SiteManager brings together the sensors and alerting of a Kentix installation. Temperature, humidity, smoke, access control and video monitoring appear on one shared interface. Administrators use it in server rooms, technical rooms and small data centres to watch readings, maintain thresholds and pass alerts on to existing monitoring systems by email, SNMP or API.
The firmware belongs to the KentixONE platform and is available in the vendor's download area only after signing in. The software runs as an appliance, as a virtual Docker variant and as a satellite instance, so one installation can be spread across several devices.
When updating, all networked Kentix devices should be on the same software level so that the main and satellite instances work together. A backup of the configuration is worth taking first. The switch belongs in a maintenance window, because monitoring is briefly unavailable during the restart. Very old devices can no longer be used with KentixONE.
