Lexware

Lexware

Lexware at a glance

Lexware is a family of accounting, payroll and business software popular with small businesses and the self-employed in Germany. Lexware ships program updates on fixed schedules, driven heavily by statutory and tax-law changes; missing updates means formats, filings or payroll logic fall out of compliance.

For admins the driver is compliance rather than pure security: without current updates, electronic submissions and calculations no longer match the rules. Take a data backup and test critical workflows before rolling out; in networked installations, keep the server and clients on the same, current state. Schedule updates around the statutory deadline peaks (year-end, payroll changes). Keep the underlying database and system requirements supported. Being a DACH product, its updates track German legislation closely; patchletter surfaces new releases.
