TP-Link Deco XE75 at a glance

The Deco XE75 is a mesh system with Wi-Fi 6E in which several units form one shared Wi-Fi network. It is used in larger flats, houses and small offices where a single router does not cover the whole area. Setup runs through the Deco app, where guest network, access control and prioritisation can be configured.

TP-Link publishes the firmware without a login on the download page, per hardware version. The versions are listed separately and are no longer all on the same release; without selecting the hardware version, the default view of the page shows no file. Deco devices usually fetch updates automatically through the app, so the download page serves more as a check.

When updating, the app updates all units of a set one after another, which interrupts the Wi-Fi at times. The update belongs in a quiet period. Anyone installing firmware manually checks the hardware version on the label of each unit. Mixing different hardware versions is possible but should be checked for proper function after the update.
