Wazuh at a glance
Wazuh is a widely used open-source security platform combining SIEM, XDR, endpoint detection and log analysis. Wazuh ships regular releases across its server, indexer and agents plus security fixes; as a security-monitoring system with broad visibility, keeping it current and hardened matters.
For admins updates span several components (manager, indexer, dashboard, agents) that must stay version-compatible — follow the documented upgrade order and back up first. Agents are the widest-deployed piece; keep them current but mind manager/agent compatibility. Because Wazuh ingests sensitive security data and holds credentials, keep the dashboard and API off the open network behind authentication and TLS.
