The Zoom desktop client is a widely used meeting application. Zoom ships frequent client updates; the client largely updates itself, and managed environments push the MSI/PKG through software distribution.

For admins little manual work is required, but security updates should flow promptly since the client handles media and files and integrates deeply with the system (camera, microphone, screen share). On terminal servers/VDI use the appropriate deployment and optimization paths. Alongside the desktop client, peripheral pieces age — the Outlook plug-in, room systems, older versions on personal devices — so enforce a minimum client version. Zoom's admin settings let you lock down features centrally; review them and keep clients current.
