Device Library at a glance
The Hilscher Device Library bundles device drivers in the FDT format, known as DTMs, for Hilscher communication products. It is used in FDT frame applications and in the Communication Studio tool to configure, commission and diagnose devices.
New releases appear in Hilscher's knowledge base in the Device Library area, together with a version history. There is no feed with version numbers, so the version history page has to be watched. The related manuals are available as PDFs.
When updating, make sure the frame application supports the new DTM release and that existing projects still open. Back up the project files before switching. If several frame applications are used on the same machine, check after installation that the devices are visible in the respective device catalog.
