Jabra Direct is the companion application for Jabra headsets and speakerphones on Windows and macOS desktops. It delivers device firmware, manages settings such as sidetone and ringtone behaviour, and wires call control between the device and softphones like Microsoft Teams, Zoom or Webex. In managed environments it is usually deployed silently together with a prepared configuration file.

Releases appear at irregular intervals and typically add support for new device models, refresh the bundled softphone plug-ins, and correct issues in the firmware delivery path. Because those bundled components are refreshed as well, the notes occasionally list vulnerabilities fixed in third-party libraries.

When updating, check which firmware the new build will push to attached devices: a client update can trigger an unplanned firmware wave across the fleet. Administrators who want to control that turn off automatic firmware and software updates and ship both through their own software distribution instead. Dropped platforms and changed installer switches are worth reviewing too, since they quietly break existing packaging scripts.
