JetBrains dotUltimate bundles the vendor's .NET tooling into a single licence and installer: the Rider IDE, the ReSharper extension for Visual Studio, ReSharper C++, and the analysis and profiling tools dotTrace, dotMemory, dotCover and dotPeek. In corporate environments it lands on the workstations of .NET developers and is normally rolled out through an existing software distribution system rather than installed by hand.

JetBrains ships several major releases per year, with bug-fix builds appearing in between on the same branch. Version numbers follow a year-and-sequence scheme, and maintenance builds append further segments. Teams distributing through package sources usually see new builds shortly after the vendor publishes them.

Before rolling out an update, check licence binding and compatibility with the installed Visual Studio and .NET SDK versions, because ReSharper is tightly coupled to the IDE.
