MultiLine Middleware at a glance
MultiLine Middleware is a Windows client component for the Luxembourg multi-banking platform MultiLine, which lets businesses centrally manage accounts held with several participating banks. The middleware complements the separately installed LuxTrust middleware and ensures that login and electronic signing of payment orders work correctly in the browser. IT departments at companies with Luxembourg operations typically deploy it on workstations used by accounting and treasury staff.
New versions are released irregularly, usually tied to browser compatibility fixes, security corrections, or changes to the underlying LuxTrust infrastructure. The vendor announces updates via the MultiLine login page and notices on the downloads page; some updates become mandatory after a deadline, after which access to the banking platform is blocked until the update is installed.
When updating, administrator rights are required for installation, and the middleware and LuxTrust component versions should remain compatible with each other. Since there is no automatic update mechanism or public release feed, administrators should periodically check the vendor's downloads page manually, especially ahead of announced mandatory-update deadlines.
