Synology Chat Client at a glance
Synology Chat Client is the desktop application for the chat server that runs as a package on a Synology DiskStation. Teams use it as a self-hosted messenger for channels, direct messages and file sharing without relying on an external cloud service. Administrators deploy the client to workstations on Windows, macOS and Linux and connect it to the DiskStation on their own network.
Synology maintains the client separately from the server package and from the NAS operating system: the desktop client has its own version line and appears in the download area as a standalone download.
