Synology Note Station Client is the desktop application for the Note Station service that ships as a package on a Synology DiskStation. Users manage notes, notebooks and to-do lists locally on their computer and sync them with the NAS; work continues offline as well. As a self-hosted alternative to cloud note services, the client keeps content on the user's own network.
Synology maintains the client independently of the server package and of the NAS operating system. The desktop client carries its own version line and is provided separately in the download area. New builds bring bug fixes, adjustments to current server releases and occasional security-relevant corrections.
When updating, keep the client and the Note Station server aligned: larger jumps may require a matching server release, and after a server update workstations should follow promptly. Because the client runs on several endpoints, a consistent rollout and update path is advisable.
