TAIFUN Handwerk at a glance

TAIFUN Handwerk is a business-management solution for small and mid-sized trade and craft companies. It maps a trade's typical workflows end to end: address and project management, quotations and orders, materials management with connections to wholesaler catalogues, post-calculation, and invoicing and dunning. Companion apps for smartphone and tablet bring appointments, time tracking and on-site measurements to the job site. Typical users are plumbing, heating, air-conditioning and electrical contractors in German-speaking markets.

The vendor ships the software as an installed Windows application backed by a server database and provides new builds to customers with a software-maintenance contract as online updates. Updates are released several times a year and bundle new features, statutory adjustments and bug fixes.

Because TAIFUN is tightly integrated with wholesaler, accounting and banking interfaces, updates should be tested and backups taken before rolling them into production; dependent add-on modules and the mobile apps must be brought to a compatible level.
