c-entron at a glance

c-entron is an industry-specific ERP and inventory-management solution for IT system houses, managed service providers and specialist resellers. It combines customer and supplier management, quoting and order processing, procurement and warehousing with CRM, ticketing, managed services and contract billing, together with integrated controlling. Additional modules such as a WebService, the ServiceBoard (Nexus) and an Outlook add-in extend its scope.

New editions are published in staged form as Early Access, Release and Service-Pack and are applied through the built-in updater. The vendor documents each edition in a public help portal, where the core product and the supplementary components each carry their own version numbers. Some editions include database updates delivered through a data updater.

Because this is a database-backed ERP with several connected components, service packs should be validated in a staging environment first, and the version levels of the core application, the WebService and any attached modules should be kept in sync. Take a database backup before applying an update, and afterwards verify the data-updater steps and the interfaces to e-commerce and Outlook integrations.
